What They Say About McIntosh

McIntosh is a big name when it comes to audio equipment and home theater systems.  It is a leader in its field and has been in business since 1949.  The McIntosh Laboratory Inc. is based in New York and boasts of creating their products by hand.  The company has quite a following especially with the rich, since McIntosh audio gears do not come cheap.  As a matter of fact, there are people who set up their homes or cars that could cost them up to almost a million dollars.  An example of this is Ivan Messer whose open admiration for McIntosh products can be seen online and was even published in the March 10, 2008 issue of the Time Magazine.

Not only a few fans or faithful admirers say good things about McIntosh.  Other famous magazines have been featuring the greatness of the company including Robb Reports Home Entertainment Magazine and Forbes Magazine.  Rob Reports Magazine featured a five page spread about the business and its the products, as well as the reasons why it is still the best among its rivals.  The article is entitled “New York State of Mind” and subtitled “McIntosh Labs:  Getting Better All the Time”.  It made mention that though there are already existing enterprises doing the same line of business, McIntosh immediately managed to set the standard and thus became the vanguard of the audio business.

The article in Forbes Magazine entitled “Earplugs Sold Separately”, focused on one of the new products of McIntosh, the Reference System, which has 16,000 watts of power, 2000 watt per channel amplifiers and 500 pound speakers. The speakers are almost as tall as an NBA centers and is considered to be a technical breakthrough.  The article went on to state that this may be the last stereo anybody would need to buy.
