Ivan Messer:  A Big McIntosh Fan

McIntosh audio and home theater systems are commonly seen inside the houses and cars of the rich and famous.  Although McIntosh Laboratory Inc. started way back in 1940, the products it creates are still above industry standard and are sought after by the young and old alike.  The company managed to respond to the modern needs of consumers.  Although some products are reasonably priced, some home and audio systems could also be very costly depending on the set up.  Despite this, the number of clients of McIntosh keep growing.

One example of the rich clients of McIntosh audio equipment is Ivan Messer.  His admiration for McIntosh was featured in Time Magazine no less.  His comments and blogs about the McIintosh audio equipment he purchased was all over the internet.  Ivan Messer is a 51 year old money manager and gizmo freak from Coral Springs, Florida.  It took him 5 years and a whooping 1 million dollars to put together a home theater system consisting of 100 McIntosh products among others. 

When asked, his comment on this was, “Nothing but the best or why bother?”, pertaining to McIntosh product as the “best”.  His home theater system boasts of 16 amplifiers, 14 speakers, a 10 foot screen, 400 amps of current and an overhear projector worth $60,000.  This theater system produces astounding sound and life-like picture quality and Messer is very proud of it.  Of the $1,000,000 he spend on the whole system, $800,000 is for the McIntosh audio gears alone.  He further claims that 90% of all McIntosh products are the best in its class and that he have been collecting these products for more than twenty years now.

Currently, his focus is to set up another home theater system in his summer home in Cape Cod.  It is expected to be another extravagant undertaking considering that this guy does not know the meaning of budget.  Ivan Messser is indeed a living proof of the greatness of the McIntosh audio products.
