The McIntosh Enterprise

 

 

With its humble beginnings in 1949 up to the present day enterprise of McIntosh Laboratory Inc., it has  shown the public their ability to answer to the continuously changing needs of its meticulous consumers.  McIntosh has set the standard in performance and reliability in home theater systems and the finest in audio technology.  It is also responsible for the highest quality sound reproduction in the audio equipment industry.  McIntosh audio products are still handcrafted in its head office and laboratories in 2 Chambers Street, Binghamton, New York.  The company boasts of the most dedicated and loyal staff who are the actual foundation of what the company has turned into today, an industry giant in its own field.  McIntosh currently has more than 35 patents in its roster of products.

 

McIntosh audio products continue to represent state of the art technology, superior design and engineering, high performance, astounding and lifelike sound and video, and more superlative qualities  that McIntosh has been known for.  Each piece of equipment are handcrafted and built to last for decades while performance is maintained. 

 

The McIntosh enterprise started in 1949 with its founder and namesake Frank McIntosh as the President.  He passed away at the age of 83 and the current president of the company is Charlie Randall.  In 2003, D & M Holdings, Inc. acquired McIntosh Laboratory Inc. and began its ambitious projects, e.g., the Las Vegas unveiling of the very famous Reference System in 2005.  McIntosh has also launched its new video category for home theater solutions with the release of its projector called MDLP1.  It has also launched in 2007 its first turntable, the MT10 Turntable.
